I've sent a bug mail report but I'll update to the latest version (I hadn't noticed).

-edit1 Please put there the .debs for us. The desktop file thing is a minor thing (and hopefully will be fixed).

-edit2 I've just seen that we can run the app directly from its folder (it even looks better O.O). (oh, I see that it's version 0.9.198)
BTW, I noticed some little things had worsened in the interface from 262 to 272. This 198 looks even better, later on I enter in details.

-edit3 Ok, I've downloaded the precompiled binary and I'll use the icon and menu files I already have (but still the deb files are good for most people that need them).

It's not totally clear to me when you have the problem, the graphic files are included in the .gambas executable itself, so this shouldn't be an issue.

Can you post two screenshot showing the problem with the interface in 0.273 compared to 198?
by the way, did you set your qt3 style? it helps anyway.

Actually it's not that different.
272/273 has a small bug that the tap-like icon looks highlighted even when there's no mouse over it.
And one thing that 198 looks better is that there is a bit more space for the icons in the toolbar.

Unfortunately qt3-qtconfig can't do much. qt4-qtconfig is much better because it has better themes and also can mimic the GTK theme.

Understood, the icon issue is my fault, i'llcheck better on monday.
About the space, i intentionally removed it to make xt7 more "netbook friendly", anyway it doesn't happen with other styles (try plastik by now, or even better qtcurve which has a configuration tool for kde4 which will be used by qt3 apps too).
In the next version i'll check the vertical resolution and set the space between the toolbar and the icons accordingly.
