It is used to "dump" the playing stream into a new file; due to the nature of the function, only dumping streamble media will be possible, or else an unplayable file will be generated.
By now i tested and enabled the rec button for:
- all dvb://* streams
- all streams embedded into an mpeg (ps,ts...) container
- all audio only mp3 files or URLS (
)As soon as the rec button is "depressed", the temporary dump file will be moved to the final destination and added to the playlist.
Temporary and final capture directory are configurable under "general options -> dvb-t"
