My intent now is to refine here and there those little bugs that still exists, and tweak xt7 for efficiency, what everybody calls "feature freeze".

Anyway i'll think about it, thanks.

This morning I succeded to make a standalone tool which is able to search by query+language and puts results into a grid, it works fairly well, i'm attaching it, it's just a proof of concept, it is not mean to be included into xt7.
Now that we are able to search and download subs, the question is:
what's the best way to use that into xt7?

 Ideas?

binary
subsearch.gambas.zip
(4.21 KiB) Downloaded 131 times

source
subsearch-0.0.2.tar.gz
(10.72 KiB) Downloaded 131 times

yessssssssssssssssss
love it , works smooth
You'll need also gambas3-gb-gui in xt7-player requires if you decide to push it in git .
How to insert it I really don't care , just do it as you find it more easy for you.
YOU ARE THE MAN

Code: Select all
Added opensubtitles.org menu under the existent subtitle menu (still inactive)

Code: Select all
Added the class to support opensubtitles.org (still inactive)

I can test it for you if you trust me :D

Thanks, it still need work.
Opensubtitles supports the hash search, which means that, if available, it is possible to get the subtitle automagically for the file you are playing.
This is done by calculating a checksum of the video file and submitting it to opensubtitles.org; believe it or not, in gambas is not possible to calculate that checksum due to the missing of the unsigned datatypes.

The workaround i found is to include a python script right into xt7.
This, of course, will require the python interpreter (yet needed for youtube-dl) to be installed.

..Anyway, i think i'll made a new submenu to get the hash search results immediately and a new window to get the subtitles manually by query, similar to the one i posted yesterday.
